Cam Confirmed As TED Talks Guest Speaker And Performer, Covered In Tennessean “Road To Success” Feature

Country singer/songwriter Cam has been confirmed as guest speaker and performer for TED Talks.  On January 21, 2107, she will appear before a live audience in Reno, Nevada for the TEDxUniversityofNevada conference.

“I’ve been watching TED Talks for years,” Cam responds, “And, I’ve applied the shared ideas to my life countless times.  It’s honestly some of the best content on the Internet.” She continues, “People sharing new ideas through story-telling… it’s like college without the debt! I am so humbled and thrilled that I get to contribute to this beautiful resource.”

Launched in 2009, TEDx is a program of locally organized events that are licensed by TED. Some of the best talks from TEDx events have gone on to be featured on TED.com and garnered hundreds of millions of views from audiences across the globe.

TED Talks airs on NPR among other platforms. Recently, Cam was featured on NPR.com in an insightful feature written by Jewly Hight here.

Yesterday, The Tennessean published an extensive “on the road” feature on the Arista Nashville/RCA Records artist in the Portfolio section here.

Tennessean entertainment journalist Cindy Watts and photographer Shelley Mays documented behind-the-scenes of Cam, her band and road team as they traveled from Morrison, Colorado to Hays, Kansas to the outskirts of St. Louis, Missouri August 10th through 12.  One of the highlights of the trip included Cam performing with her music idol, Eric Church, on stage after her opening set at Church’s Red Rocks show.
